Decorating Blog
I found a blog called, “Addicted 2 Decorating” by Kristi Linauer. I like to decorate, especially on a budget and that is just what Kristi talks about in her blog. She keeps an up-to-date blog on all the projects she is doing or has done. I like that she asks her reader for tips on how to do some things. Some people chime in with questions or ideas for her. I enjoy looking at the before-and-after pictures of her work. Kristi will take an idea she sees in magazines and make them herself with materials I would not think to use. This blog site would be helpful to people who are new to decorating or people who just needed ideas to redecorate their home.
Kristi does some pretty cool projects on her blog, she even tried “glass-etching” and walked her readers through the process with pictures and telling them what her results were step-by-step. One of her before-and-after “DIY” (Do-it-yourself) projects I really liked was the gumball fish bowl. It actually makes me want to go and make one. When my daughter gets older this may be a project I will do with her for her new pet addition.
There is something for everyone on this blog site. She has done so many different projects I am sure anyone could find something new or different to put in their home. Kristi also makes her projects wallet friendly so that is a plus as well.
This blog site also provides videos to help the readers through the projects that are being done so the readers can get a better idea of how to accomplish the same project. A video that I enjoyed was how to decoupage without bubbles and wrinkles. This video would benefit a lot of people who were unable to get their decoupage just right.
Her blog is very user friendly and she actually seems like she enjoys herself with her work. The finished projects she does seem to always turn out magnificent. Kristi has really found her calling, decorating on a budget and telling people how to do the same thing.

Vanessa,
ReplyDeleteYour blog was based on a very interesting website. With your discussion of the gumball fish bowl, I personally went to the website just to take a look at it! I think this would be a great thing for your kid and you to do, or anyone to do for that matter. This is a very good blog that you found. To ass this onto my topic of discussion, my blog was based on a musical artist that blogs about his touring and general discussions that arise. This is a little different, but it shows the great ability to very within the blogging experience. As I wrote, many people are able to follow their idols with the blogging experience, as yours may be a person in the design field when some else may be in the sports or musical field! This just shows that blogging is truly for anyone with every kind of personal taste.
